Our Practice Nurses are qualified and are registered nurses. They can help with any health issues such as family planning, healthy living advice, blood pressure checks and dressings. The Practice Nurses run the set clinics for long term conditions such as Asthma, Diabetes and COPD and carry out cervical smears and will give advice on travel vaccinations and general matters.

Debbie is a trained Healthcare Assistant who is available most days: Monday – Friday, except Thursdays. She assists the Practice Nurse with all nursing duties. She is trained in: Ear Syringing, Dressings, Suture/Clip removals, new patient registration and home visits for over 75s, pill checks, weight management and can undertake B12.

Practice Management

The Practice Manager is involved in managing all of the business aspects of the practice such as making sure that the right systems are in place to provide a high quality of patient care, human resources, finance, patient safety, premises and equipment and information technology. The practice supports the GP's and other medical professionals with delivering patient services and also helps to develop extended services to enhance patient care.

Community Nurses

There is a District Nurse Team (DN) attached to the practice and based at Neptune Health Park.

Health Visitors

The Health Visitors are trained nurses who undertaken midwifery and a special health visiting course. The Health Visiting Team is based in Glebefields Health Centre. They are concerned with maintaining health and preventing physical or mental illness and are specially trained in child health and are available most days for advice.
